Mission
To train individuals to a fullness in Christ in all aspects of abundant living; spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and practical. The emphasis will be on a work ethic and personal character development utilizing Biblical principles.
Who We Are
Turning Point Ministry was designed to give those who are at a "Turning Point" an opportunity to get right and get real with God. We are set up to work with and through the local church and parachurch organizations to help them in establishing an effective ministry to reach those who might not otherwise be reached. We offer the guidelines and curriculum that will assist those dedicated individuals that have a heart for training youth via their daily work activities, job or vocation. We focus on reaching those who want help but don't know where to turn. Our goal is to offer teens and young adults a mentor relationship as we network various businesses, tradesmen, ministers of the gospel, and retired persons together with those in need. Many of today's youth need a "working" example.
Method
Learning is through example via a mentorship relationship, similar to the Hebrew methods, in contrast to the typical Greek method of giving knowledge (which is prevalent today). Mentorship with accountability is the main thrust. Our goals are designed to: *encourage, teach and stimulate growth, *Offer mentor relationships for integration to life, *Challenge the status quo and maximise effectiveness, *Train up and disciple individuals in practical Biblical principles, *Offer a secure, supportive, loving, and caring environment, *Provide positive work ethic training, ministry opportunities, and apprenticeships.
Organizations
The overall accountability, initially, will be set under, as an extension of the existing local ministries and with other mission organizations that come to us for help.The pragmatic functions will be directed by a local group of concerned individuals, businessmen, pastors, teachers, missionaries, professional tradesmen, etc. who have been trained as mentors via a work ethic related discipleship training program.
Goals
Our goal is to raise the standards for Christians in the area of utilizing your vocation as a witness for the Gospel of Christ and teaching others how to walk in integrity through Christ's and our own example.
To raise up an army of committed, well balanced "whole" individuals that can fulfill their higher calling and be challenged to develop a lifestyle that will allow them to "be all that they can be" for the Creator.
